COMITÉ BILDERBERG SUMMIT

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY: INTERMEDIATE

The intermediate committees will host a cohort of delegates who wish to further augment their knowledge in MUN after some previous experience. These committees will require substantial research and knowledge of the current events shaping our world, yet will serve as spaces for growth and development in both a personal and collective way.

These committees are recommended for delegates who have engaged in MUN before, and possess a certain level of experience, yet wish to further learn and develop interests in the world of diplomacy and international relations.

INTRODUCTION TO THE COMMITTEE

Bilderberg Summit is an annual conference, originally established in 1954 by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands to anticipate dialogue between the most important people in North America and Europe. The members of the group are political leaders, experts in various subjects: industry, academia, finance and the media. The Bilderberg Summit conference is also unofficially addressed as the "Bilderberg Group", "Bilderberg Conference" or "Bilderberg Club". Its main objective is to strengthen dialogue and cooperation between Western Europe and North America. The Bilderberg group now looks at a number of questions; from trade to employment to monetary policy; from investment to ecological challenges and the task of promoting international security.
